Privacy Policy

This policy applies to Rukn Al Qaswa and to this website only. It explains what happens to personal information you send us through the enquiry form, and what rights you have over it.

The business behind this website is Rukn Al Qaswa Technical Services, a civil company licensed by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism under trade licence number 1409018, registered at Office E-66, Arenco Marine Investment Building, Al Muraqqabat, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It trades as Rukn Al Qaswa, which is the name used throughout this site. Rukn Al Qaswa Technical Services is the data controller for the information described below.

Only what you type into the enquiry form. There is no account system and no hidden collection:

• Your name — so we know who we are replying to.
• Your email address — so we can reply.
• Your phone number — optional; only if you want a call or a WhatsApp reply.
• The service you selected — optional; helps us route your enquiry to the right team.
• Your message — whatever you choose to tell us about your project.
• Your project location — optional; as you describe it.
• The page you submitted from — so we know what you were looking at when you got in touch.
• How you found us — the website, search engine, social network or advertising campaign that brought you to the site (for example “instagram / paid social”), and the first page you landed on. If you accepted marketing cookies, this can include the click identifier Google or Meta added to the link you followed.

Your enquiry is stored in our database, and our staff can add internal follow-up notes to it. Those notes are never shown publicly.

We record how the website is used so we can tell which pages, services and projects are useful, and which of our marketing brings enquiries. What is recorded depends on the choice you make in the cookie banner.

Always, without cookies: the pages you view, the service and project pages you open, how far you scroll, whether you open a gallery, and whether you tap WhatsApp, call, email, the map or the enquiry form — together with the type of device, browser, country and the site or campaign that referred you. This uses a random identifier held only in your browser's memory: nothing is stored on your device, and it is gone when you close the tab or reload. It is stored in our own database, not sent to any other company.

If you accept analytics: that random identifier and how you first found us are remembered on your device (browser local storage), so a return visit is recognised as the same visitor.

If you accept marketing: advertising platforms can measure whether their ads led to an enquiry.

We never record what you type into the form as analytics, and this site does not:

• Store your IP address in our database.
• Build a profile of you, or share anything with data brokers.
• Sell your information.

When you first visit, a banner asks what you allow: Necessary (always on, described above — no cookies), Analytics and Marketing. Rejecting both changes nothing about how the site works. You can change your mind at any time: Cookie Settings.

Your choice itself is remembered on your device under raq_consent for 12 months, after which we ask again. If you accept analytics we also store raq_vid, raq_sess, raq_first, raq_last and raq_clk in local storage; withdrawing consent deletes them.

One further cookie is only ever given to our own staff: a sign-in cookie named rak_session, set when a member of our team logs into the private admin area. It cannot be read by scripts in the browser, is sent only over an encrypted connection, and expires after eight hours.

To stop the enquiry form being abused by automated submissions, we briefly hold your IP address in server memory to count how many times it has submitted recently. It is never written to our database and is discarded automatically once the time window passes.

Our hosting provider keeps its own separate connection and security logs, as any web host does.

You give us this information voluntarily so that we can respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation, and follow up about the project you asked about. We rely on your consent, given by submitting the form, and on our legitimate interest in answering people who contact our business.

We do not send marketing email to enquirers. If that ever changes, we will ask you first.

Your enquiry is handled by our own staff. It also passes through a small number of service providers who operate the website on our behalf:

• Our website host, which serves these pages and runs the server code.
• Our database provider, which stores enquiries.
• Our email provider, which delivers the notification telling our team a new enquiry has arrived.

The providers we use, and where their servers are:

• Vercel Inc. (United States) — hosts this website and runs its server code.
• Neon Inc. (United States, AWS us-east-1, Northern Virginia) — the database your enquiry is stored in.

This means an enquiry you send us is stored outside the UAE, in the United States. Our own visit measurement (section 3) is stored in the same database.

No third-party analytics or advertising tool is currently active on this site. If we add one, it is named here, and it runs only for visitors who accept it.

There is no chat widget and no customer-relationship platform on this site.

Google Maps

The map on our contact page is embedded from Google Maps. When that page loads, your browser connects to Google directly and Google may set its own cookies, under its own privacy policy, which we do not control. No other page on this site loads third-party content.

We keep enquiries for as long as we may reasonably need them — to answer you, to quote, and to keep a record of work we have discussed or carried out. You can ask us to delete yours at any time, and we will unless we are required by law to keep it.

Our fixed retention period is 12 months from the date of your last contact with us, after which the enquiry is deleted. If it has become part of a live project record, it is kept for as long as that project and its warranty period require, and no longer.

Anonymous visit measurement is deleted automatically after 13 months.

Under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, you may ask us to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you, and give you a copy.
• Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
• Delete it.
• Stop using it, or restrict how we use it.
• Withdraw consent you previously gave.

Write to us using the contact details below and we will respond. There is no charge for making a request.

The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. The admin area is password-protected, staff passwords are stored only as salted cryptographic hashes, and every administrative page and action re-checks the signed-in user on the server — not just in the browser. Uploaded files are validated by inspecting their actual contents, not their file name.

No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If a breach affecting your information occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

This is a business-to-business construction and fit-out website. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date shown at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
